<aside> ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ

Standard values for the metadata .csv files that accompany an experiment. Keeping these consistent is what lets replicates be combined across shipments, plates and researchers.

You don't have to use every .csv for every metadata folder, and you can add your own .csv if you need to cover a parameter not listed here.

Common anthelmintics โ€” IVM, DEC, AZS (albendazole sulfoxide), ABZ (albendazole), EMO, LEV, PZQ, IDA, TBZ (thiabendazole), TCBZ (triclabendazole)

Other anthelmintics โ€” all lowercase, spelled out

Amines โ€” DOP, SER, HIS, ACH, TYR, OCT, NOR, EPI

Cholinergic โ€” ATR, NIC, CAR, OXO

Controls โ€” DMSO, HK, NaAz, Water, None

Salts โ€” nacl, kpo4

Anything else โ€” write out fully lowercase in the metadata, then make display labels in code.

<aside> โž•

Use underscores when a well has more than one treatment โ€” e.g. nacl_kpo4.

Check this. The source doc lists the controls as "DMSO, HK, NaAz, Water, None (?)" โ€” the question mark suggests None was never confirmed as a valid value. Decide whether it stays.
